What is an Amp (AMP)?

AMP is described as a new digital margin token that provides instant and verifiable guarantees for all types of value transfers. Using AMP,  networks like Flexa are able to secure transactions quickly and irreversible. Reversible for use cases involving a wide variety of assets.

How does AMP work?

AMP claims to have a straightforward yet versatile interface for collateral monitored through a margin partition system and margin manager. Where a collateral partition can be assigned to secure any account, application or even any transaction and balances that are directly verifiable on the Ethereum blockchain. Margin managers are smart contracts that can lock, release and redirect margins on these partitions as needed. To support value transfer activities,  Amp supports a wide range of collateral use cases. It also introduces the concept of a predefined partition strategy. This can enable special abilities such as the Margin Model. which tokens can be wagered without leaving their original address
